Air Canada is set to expand its international reach by introducing new seasonal flights to Stockholm, Sweden, from both Toronto and Montreal, starting in the summer of 2024. This initiative marks the first time Air Canada will directly serve Sweden, significantly enhancing its presence in Scandinavia.

The airline will offer three weekly flights from Montreal and two weekly flights from Toronto to Stockholm, beginning June 12, 2024. Alongside the new Stockholm routes, Air Canada is also boosting its service to Copenhagen with increased flight frequency.

Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning, highlighted the strategic importance of Toronto and Montreal as key trans-Atlantic gateways. The addition of flights to Stockholm and the increased services to Copenhagen are part of Air Canada’s ongoing strategy to build its international scale and strengthen its presence in Northern Europe.

This expansion is also a part of Air Canada’s broader plan to return to full capacity. The airline aims to operate 100% of its peak summer 2019 trans-Atlantic capacity in the coming year, signaling a robust recovery in its largest international market.
