In a strategic move towards a fresh identity and market focus, Synergy Aviation, previously based at Fairoaks airport, has undergone a comprehensive rebranding and emerged as Ascend Airways. This transformation signals the company’s intent to relaunch as a prominent UK-based ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance)/charter passenger specialist.

The transition to Ascend Airways Ltd. became official on October 18, 2023, as documented in the records of the UK Companies House. Alongside the rebranding, the company has shifted its headquarters from Fairoaks airport in Surrey to Bishop’s Stortford, a town strategically located in Hertfordshire adjacent to London Stansted airport.

Heading this new venture is Alastair Wilson, who brings valuable experience from his time at Titan Airways (London Stansted). Working alongside him is Jonas Janukenas, the CEO of Avia Solutions Group (ASG), the parent holding of Ascend Airways. ASG, a significant player in the aviation industry, continues to foster innovation and growth through subsidiaries like Ascend Airways.

Formerly operating as an air taxi service, Synergy Aviation was acquired by Avia Solutions Group, paving the way for its evolution into a charter passenger specialist. The airline currently holds a valid Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) for Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 200 and Cessna 510, 525, and 550 aircraft types. Notably, Ascend Airways is actively working on updating its certification to include narrowbody aircraft, aligning with its renewed focus on ACMI and charter services.

As Ascend Airways takes flight with its new identity, the company is poised for growth and innovation in the dynamic aviation landscape. Stay tuned for updates on Ascend Airways’ journey as it ascends to new heights in the UK aviation sector.
