Turkmenistan Airlines, based in Ashgabat, has welcomed its inaugural Boeing 777-300ER to its fleet, with the arrival of EZ-A781 (msn 37898) in Turkmenistan on December 4.

This 12-year-old aircraft, previously operated by Cathay Pacific, was ferried to Turkmenbashi and subsequently to Ashgabat after undergoing repainting at Lake Charles Chennault. Another sister aircraft, EZ-A782 (msn 39235), is currently at Lake Charles and is expected to be ferried to Central Asia in the near future, according to the state-owned carrier.

The new Boeing 777-300ER features seating for 368 passengers, including 40 in business class, 32 in premium economy, and 296 in economy class. Both aircraft are equipped with General Electric GE90-115BL2 engines.

These additions will enhance Turkmenistan Airlines’ mainline passenger fleet, which currently includes four Boeing 737-700s, eight 737-800s, four 757-200s, and four 777-200LRs. The airline also has four 737-8s on order from Boeing.
