Bamboo Airways Targets 30 Aircraft in Three to Four Years Amid Restructuring

Bamboo Airways, the Vietnamese carrier, is planning to return to operating 30 aircraft within three to four years as part of its ongoing financial and operational restructuring. In the short term, the airline aims to operate around 18 aircraft by the end of 2024. Bamboo Airways has recently returned 19 aircraft, including its three B787-9 widebodies, to lessors. The carrier’s Director General, Luong Hoai Nam, confirmed that Bamboo will continue as an all-Airbus airline for the foreseeable future. As part of its growth plans, the airline recently announced the lease of two A320 family aircraft starting January 1, 2024.
