Condor Expands Fleet with Lease Agreement for Six Airbus A320neo and A321neo Aircraft

In a strategic move to enhance its fleet capabilities, Germany’s Condor (DE) has secured a significant lease agreement with Singapore-based lessor BOC Aviation. The deal includes the dry leasing of two new-build A320-200Ns and four A321-200Ns from Airbus, with anticipated deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2028.

This latest announcement follows BOC Aviation’s direct order from Airbus, solidifying Condor’s position in the leisure travel sector. The lease duration has not been disclosed as of now.

Condor, a specialist in German leisure travel, currently operates a diverse fleet that includes twelve A320-200s, eleven A321-200s, four A330-200s, twelve A330-900s, nine B757-300s, and four B767-300ERs. The airline has strategic plans to modernize its narrowbody fleet, placing a firm order for four A320-200Ns and six A321-200Ns directly from Airbus. Additionally, Condor has confirmed commitments for nine A320-200Ns and twenty-two A321-200Ns, including aircraft from Air Lease Corporation and two A321-200s formerly operated by Heston Airlines.

The ch-aviation fleets ownership module reveals that BOC Aviation, with a current ownership of seventy-eight A320neo and thirty A321neo (including four A321-200NX(LR)s), has not previously leased aircraft to Condor. With this latest commitment, the lessor now has unfilled orders for forty-four A320-200Ns, sixty-five A321-200Ns, and ten A321-200NY(XLR)s directly from the manufacturer.

Condor’s move to expand its fleet with these fuel-efficient and advanced Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft signifies a commitment to modernization and sustainability in the competitive leisure travel market.
