Virgin Atlantic Boosts Winter Season Flights to Dubai, Maldives, and Barbados for 2024-25

Virgin Atlantic is set to enhance its seasonal offerings for the 2024-25 Northern Hemisphere winter season, with increased flight frequencies on its recently launched London-Dubai route, and expanded services to the Maldives and Barbados.

The airline revived its service between London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Dubai International Airport (DXB) in October 2023, marking its return since March 2019. Currently, the LHR-DXB route operates four times weekly with a Boeing 787-9, capable of seating 258 passengers. For the next winter season, starting October 2024, Virgin Atlantic plans to upgrade this service to daily flights, continuing through March 2025.

Additionally, the airline is reinforcing its presence in the Maldives. Virgin Atlantic commenced flights between LHR and Male’s Velana International Airport (MEL) in October 2023, utilizing the 787-9 aircraft for three weekly flights. This service will see a significant boost in the 2024-25 winter season, with daily flights scheduled from October through March.

Chief Commercial Officer Juha Jarvinen expressed satisfaction with the popularity of the new routes to Dubai and the Maldives, emphasizing the increased opportunities for customers to visit these luxurious destinations in the coming winter seasons.

Furthermore, Virgin Atlantic is intensifying its commitment to Barbados, a key destination in the Caribbean. The airline plans to operate twice-daily flights between LHR and Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) in Barbados for the 2024-25 winter. In addition, a four-times-weekly service will be available from Manchester Airport (MAN) in the UK to Barbados. This expansion signifies a record number of flights to Barbados for the year 2024, consolidating its position as Virgin Atlantic’s most popular Caribbean destination.

These strategic expansions in Virgin Atlantic’s winter schedule reflect the airline’s responsiveness to customer demand and its dedication to offering a diverse range of desirable holiday destinations.
