Emirates Airlines has marked a significant enhancement in its service to Vienna, Austria, by reintroducing its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft for flights EK127 and EK128. This upgrade, effective from February 21 to March 30, 2024, replaces the previously operated Boeing 777-300ER, signaling a notable increase in both capacity and luxury for travelers on these routes.

The Airbus A380, renowned as the world’s largest passenger aircraft, is known for its spacious and luxurious offerings. Passengers traveling from Vienna on these flights can look forward to experiencing the unique amenities that the A380 provides, including First Class suites, shower spas, and an onboard lounge. The in-flight entertainment system, ice, offers an impressive array of up to 6,500 channels, catering to a wide range of entertainment preferences.

The flight schedule is convenient for travelers, with flight EK127 departing from Dubai at 08:55 hrs and arriving in Vienna at 12:25 hrs. The return flight, EK128, leaves Vienna at 15:10 hrs, reaching Dubai at 23:40 hrs, local times for both destinations. The reintroduction of the A380 is expected to enhance passenger comfort significantly, offering a lavish configuration of 14 seats in First Class, 76 in Business Class, and 429 in Economy Class. This change notably increases the passenger capacity by nearly 40% on the Vienna-Dubai route, although the freight capacity remains unchanged.

Elisabeth Zauner, the Country Manager for Emirates Austria, expressed delight over the return of the A380, underscoring the importance of Vienna as both a destination and a departure point in the Emirates network. The re-introduction of the A380 to Vienna, after its absence since August 2022, positions Emirates as the only airline serving Vienna Airport with this iconic two-deck aircraft.

Emirates, the largest global operator of the A380 with 116 aircraft in its fleet, continues to lead the way in providing a distinguished flying experience to its customers. With almost 90 A380s operational across its network, the airline connects travelers to various popular destinations around the world, including Bangkok, Mauritius, Denpasar/Bali, and Sydney.
