Hyatt Sets Sights on Continued Expansion in 2024 Following Record Growth
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is poised to continue its impressive expansion in 2024, building on the momentum of a record-breaking year in 2023. The company’s ambitious growth trajectory includes a pipeline of 127,000 rooms globally, showcasing Hyatt’s strong focus on enhancing its luxury, resort, and lifestyle portfolios.
Since 2017, Hyatt has added nearly 90,000 rooms, which now constitute 45 percent of its total portfolio. Looking ahead, the company plans to add over 35 hotels to its luxury brands by 2025.

Key Highlights of Hyatt’s Expansion in 2024 and Beyond:
- Park Hyatt Developments: New Park Hyatt hotels are set to open in London, Johannesburg, Changsha, Kuala Lumpur, with Park Hyatt Cancun and Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol scheduled for 2025, and Park Hyatt Mexico City in 2026.
- Inclusive Collection Growth: The Inclusive Collection will introduce the Zoetry Halkidiki Resort & Spa in Greece and the Dreams Madeira Resort, Spa & Marina in Portugal. In the Caribbean, new properties include Secrets Tides Punta Cana, Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, Dreams Grand Island Cancun, Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán, and Hyatt Vivid Grand Island.
- Thompson Hotels Expansion: Thompson Hotels is expanding in Europe with new hotels in Rome, Vienna, and Seville, and in the U.S. with properties in Houston, Palm Springs, and South Beach. Future openings include Shanghai in 2025 and Puerto Vallarta in 2027.
- Hyatt Studios Growth: Hyatt’s upper-midscale extended-stay brand, Hyatt Studios, announced last year, is projected to grow significantly, with 2,000 rooms across North America in locations such as Alabama, California, Colorado, and more.
- Independent Collection Openings: New additions include Kennedy 89 in Frankfurt, Bentley Hotel in Southampton, and Cas En Bas Beach Resort in Saint Lucia.
- Timeless Collection Welcomes New Properties: The collection will introduce the Hyatt Regency Panama City, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Hyatt Place Ha Long Bay Bai Chay, Hyatt Place Makassar, Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya, and the dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House in Leeds, U.K.
- Boundless Collection Additions: This year will see the launch of Hyatt Centric Toronto City Centre, Hyatt Zhongshan Park Shanghai, Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, and others. Additionally, the Caption by Hyatt brand will debut in Shanghai and Osaka.
- Dream Hotel Group Expansion: Following its acquisition, Dream Hotel Group will open the Dream Valle de Guadalupe.
