Avcon Jet Expands Fleet with Inaugural CRJ200 Aircraft Acquisition

Austria-based Avcon Jet has recently enhanced its fleet by incorporating its first CRJ200 aircraft, marking a significant expansion in its aviation capabilities. The aircraft, bearing the registration OE-LVS and with a manufacturer’s serial number (msn) 8073, joins Avcon Jet’s diverse collection of 34 aircraft registered in Austria. This move underscores Avcon Jet’s commitment to broadening its service offerings and catering to a wider range of client needs in the business charter sector.

Previously operated by ExecuJet Scandinavia and retired in February 2022, the 16.8-year-old regional jet found its new home at Avcon Jet after being parked at Nice airport. This acquisition not only adds to Avcon Jet’s robust fleet but also signifies the company’s strategic investment in enhancing its operational flexibility and reach.

Avcon Jet’s fleet boasts an impressive lineup, including models from leading manufacturers such as Cessna, Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, and Learjet, among others. The addition of the CRJ200 complements the company’s existing array of business jets, ranging from light jets like the Cessna 525 to large-cabin, long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream GV-SP-G550 and the Bombardier Global 6000.

In addition to its Austrian operations, Avcon Jet holds two other Air Operator’s Certificates (AOCs): Avcon Jet Malta and Avcon Jet San Marino, further emphasizing its international presence and capability to serve a diverse clientele across different regions. While these subsidiaries do not currently operate CRJ200s, the expansion of Avcon Jet’s fleet in Austria could pave the way for future growth and diversification across its entire operational footprint.
