In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the largest alliance of independent hotel brands worldwide, is proud to announce the expansion of its Green Collection. This collection, dedicated to sustainability and responsible hospitality, now features over 220 properties across 44 countries and 23 brands, emphasizing their commitment to environmental stewardship.

Each property within the Green Collection achieves at least one certification from globally recognized organizations like Green Key or EarthCheck, underscoring their alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Launched in March 2023, the collection has seen notable new members such as NH Collection Dubai The Palm and Pan Pacific London, enriching the variety of sustainable luxury accommodations available to eco-conscious travelers.

Ultra-luxury properties such as Djibouti Palace Kempinski, Corinthia Palace Hotel, and Capella Ubud stand out within the collection, offering premium, eco-friendly experiences.

To commemorate the first anniversary of the Green Collection, GHA DISCOVERY, the alliance’s loyalty program, is set to donate $1 for every stay booked directly in the collection during April to several supported charities, reinforcing the commitment to making a positive impact.

Jelena Kezika, Senior Director of Strategy at GHA, stated, “As we celebrate a successful year since the launch, we recognize the collective efforts of our member properties. The Green Collection not only provides a platform for consumers seeking sustainable travel options but also supports our hotels in their ongoing journey towards greater sustainability by sharing best practices and success stories.”

This initiative highlights GHA’s dedication to fostering sustainable travel and the continued growth of its global footprint in the luxury hospitality sector, promoting a greener future for the travel industry.
