Disney Cruise Line Introduces Disney Adventure, Set to Debut in Singapore
Disney Cruise Line has unveiled more details about its latest vessel, Disney Adventure, which is set to launch next year from its new homeport in Singapore. The ship, previously known as Global Dream, was acquired in 2022 after the original owner filed for bankruptcy. This marks Disney’s first venture into the Asian cruise market, reflecting a significant expansion of its geographical footprint.
The Disney Adventure is designed to accommodate 6,700 guests and weighs in at 208,000 gross tons. It will feature seven uniquely themed areas: Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Toy Story Place. These immersive zones are crafted to bring beloved Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters and stories to life, offering unparalleled experiences at sea.
Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line, expressed enthusiasm about the new offering: “We’re bringing the magic of Disney Cruise Line to Asia for the first time ever, and we want to give our guests the cruise relaxation and Disney fun they can only experience aboard one of our ships.”
The Disney Adventure will embark on 3- and 4-night journeys from Singapore, in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, for at least the next five years. This strategic move is expected to attract a significant number of visitors to the region, enhancing its appeal as a leading tourist destination.
Siskie further highlighted the unique aspects of the ship, saying, “When they set sail on the Disney Adventure, guests will find incredible, immersive areas that bring the worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel to life in ways like never before—and these uniquely Disney experiences will inspire families to reconnect, recharge, and make unforgettable memories that they’ll cherish forever.”
Details about the ship’s maiden voyage and specific itineraries will be announced in the future, as Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its offerings and bring new and exciting experiences to its guests worldwide.
