Etihad Airways to Increase Capacity on Abu Dhabi-Boston Route

In a move to meet growing demand, Etihad Airways is set to nearly double its capacity on the Abu Dhabi to Boston route, just over three months after its initial launch. Starting March 31, the UAE-based airline has been operating the route 4 times a week using a Boeing 787-9 with 290 seats, including 28 in business class. However, from October 27, Etihad will increase its frequency to daily flights, adding 870 seats per week for a total of 2,030 seats.

“Our Boston service has been exceptionally well-received, consistently operating near capacity since our inaugural flight earlier this year,” stated Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways.

Etihad’s partnership with JetBlue Airways allows seamless connections beyond Boston, enhancing travel options for passengers. This expanded capacity not only strengthens connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Boston but also boosts Boston’s daily connections to the UAE, alongside Emirates’ daily service to Dubai.

Etihad Airways serves several other key North American destinations, including Chicago O’Hare, New York John F. Kennedy, Toronto Pearson (YYZ), and Washington Dulles. Additionally, the airline will upgrade its daily Abu Dhabi to Toronto service from a Boeing 787 to an Airbus A350 starting October 27, further enhancing passenger comfort and experience.

Stay tuned as Etihad continues to expand its network and enhance travel options across North America and beyond.
