Fly2Sky Reintroduces A321ceo to Its Fleet, Expands Operations

Bulgarian airline Fly2Sky (F6) has reintroduced the A321-200 model to its fleet, reviving the aircraft type just five months after phasing it out. The aircraft is a 21.45-year-old jet featuring 212 economy-class seats, previously flown by Sunclass Airlines (DK, Copenhagen Kastrup). The jet was transferred from Kemble to Sofia on July 24 and was immediately deployed on a wet-lease contract with Arkia Israeli Airlines (IZ) until the end of October.

This reintroduction marks Fly2Sky’s continued reliance on the A321-200, having previously operated three such aircraft from November 2021 to March 2024. According to fleet history records, one of these aircraft is now with BeOnd (B4), another is undergoing a Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) conversion, and a third has completed P2F conversion and is scheduled to join GlobalX (G6) later this year.

Fly2Sky’s current fleet also includes six A320-200s, and the airline has plans to expand further. A statement to ch-aviation revealed that Fly2Sky expects to add one more A320 and one A321 in August, followed by an additional A320 in September.

In a significant corporate development, Fly2Sky registered a change in its legal status on June 3, transitioning from a limited liability company (LLC) to a joint stock company (JSC). This change aims to enhance the corporate structure and efficiency of the business. The newly formed JSC has a capital of BGN441,100 leva (approximately USD244,000), with share distribution remaining between ALG Aero Holding (51%) and Aerovista (49%), consistent with the ownership structure of the previous LLC.

These strategic moves by Fly2Sky, including fleet expansion and corporate restructuring, demonstrate the airline’s commitment to growth and adaptation in the dynamic aviation industry.
