Air Peace (P4, Lagos) has announced a damp-lease agreement with AirExplore (ED, Bratislava) to acquire four B737-800s for the Northern Winter 2024/2025 season.

AirExplore, a Slovak airline under the Avia Solutions Group (ASG), will supply the pilots for the aircraft, while Air Peace will provide its own cabin crew. The B737-800s will be used for domestic flights within Nigeria, based out of Lagos.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Air Peace’s current fleet includes seven B737-300s, four B737-500s, one B777-200ER, two B777-300s, eight E145s, five E195-E2s, and one executive Do328-300. The airline has pending orders for five E175s, eight additional E195-E2s, and ten B737-8s. Air Peace also wet-leases two B737-700s from Mongolia’s Eznis Airways (MG, Ulaanbaatar) under a long-term agreement.

Previously, Air Peace collaborated with ASG’s ACMI/charter specialists, damp-leasing two A320-200s from SmartLynx Airlines Malta from 2021 to 2023. It remains unclear whether the incoming B737-800s will replace the existing B737-700s or serve as additional capacity.

AirExplore, which was acquired by ASG earlier this year, operates a fleet of nine B737-800s, four B737-800(BCF)s, and four B737-800(SF)s.
