Carnival Cruise Line is set to offer its inaugural solar eclipse cruise in August 2026, marking an exciting addition to its 2026-27 deployment plans. The special voyage will be aboard Carnival Legend, departing from Dover, England, on August 9, 2026. The ship will be positioned perfectly to view the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, as it sails through the eclipse’s path.

The 11-day cruise will include a diverse itinerary featuring stops at Le Havre (Paris), France; St. Peter Port, Guernsey; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon and Leixões (Porto), Portugal; Le Verdon (Bordeaux), France; and Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium.

Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, commented, “The opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse while exploring the rich cultural destinations of Spain, Portugal, and France aboard Carnival Legend is an extraordinary experience. This voyage is part of our exceptional lineup of cruises designed to offer unique and memorable experiences.”

In addition to this eclipse-focused voyage, Carnival has unveiled plans for a variety of summer 2026 sailings. Carnival Legend will embark on a European summer season, visiting an array of destinations across England, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, Denmark, and more.

Meanwhile, Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit will operate summer cruises between Seattle and Alaska. The cruise line also introduced four new Carnival Journeys voyages that will transit the Panama Canal, serving as repositioning cruises for Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit as they transition to and from their Alaskan itineraries.

“It’s never too early for our loyal guests to start planning their next summer adventure,” says Duffy. With these exciting offerings, Carnival Cruise Line is set to provide travelers with unforgettable experiences and diverse destinations in the upcoming seasons.
