Marriott Opens 9,000th Property: The St. Regis Longboat Key

Marriott International has celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its 9,000th property, The St. Regis Longboat Key in Longboat Key, Florida. This new luxury hotel features 168 rooms, 26 suites, and 69 permanent residences, and is located near Sarasota in southwest Florida.

Anthony Capuano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, expressed his excitement: “We are delighted to announce the opening of The St. Regis Longboat Key, which marks our 9,000th property. This exquisite new build reflects the elegance and sophistication of the St. Regis brand. We look forward to offering guests and Residence Owners a unique blend of modern amenities and timeless charm in this stunning location.”

The grand opening was celebrated with a signature St. Regis champagne Sabrage toast in the resort’s Great Hall, offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Looking ahead, Marriott has more than 230 signed contracts for future properties across 57 countries. The company has also recently introduced a new booking service tailored for business travel, continuing its expansion and innovation in the hospitality industry.
