Hybrid airline Air Premia, based in Seoul, South Korea, has teamed up with GE Aerospace to improve flight safety and reduce carbon emissions. The collaboration introduces three key software tools—Fuel Insight, Safety Insight, and the FlightPulse app.

Fuel Insight leverages GE Aerospace’s Event Measurement System (EMS) to optimize fuel efficiency throughout aircraft operations. Air Premia estimates that this system could improve fuel efficiency by 1.4% annually, potentially cutting emissions by 5,916 tons.

Safety Insight provides a data-driven approach to identifying potential risks by analyzing aircraft data in real-time, which enhances flight safety.

The FlightPulse app integrates data from both Fuel Insight and Safety Insight, giving pilots crucial information on fuel efficiency and safety measures. This tool is part of an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system, designed to provide pilots with real-time insights, helping them make informed decisions on fuel usage and safety risks during flights.

“Air Premia is the first airline in South Korea to adopt GE Aerospace’s integrated software solution,” said Haejihn Lim, head of Air Premia’s Flight Operations Engineering. “This technology is a vital step towards achieving our sustainability goals while ensuring the highest level of safety.”

By incorporating GE Aerospace’s software, Air Premia aims to boost operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
