Carnival Cruise Line Hits 7 Million Guest Milestone in New Orleans

Carnival Cruise Line has reached a significant milestone in its history, becoming the first cruise line to embark more than 7 million guests from its New Orleans port. This record was achieved when the Litteral family from Georgia boarded the Carnival Valor on Monday, marking a celebratory moment for the company.

Thomas and Julie Litteral, along with their children, Zachary and Zoey, were greeted by Captain Antonio Modaffari as they stepped onto the ship, symbolizing the 7 millionth embarkation for Carnival from New Orleans. The company, which has been operating year-round cruises from New Orleans since 1994, currently has two ships based there—Carnival Valor and Carnival Liberty. Each year, over 400,000 travelers choose Carnival for their voyages departing from Port NOLA.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed her excitement about reaching this milestone. “Sharing this landmark embarkation in New Orleans with loyal guests, a family that clearly loves the fun they find when they sail with us, makes this moment truly special,” she said.
