Celestyal Cruises continues its commitment to giving back by supporting two significant charitable initiatives this year: blood donations and breast cancer awareness. The cruise line recently held a blood drive aboard the Celestyal Journey, in partnership with the Metaxa Hospital of Piraeus, Greece. This effort is part of Celestyal’s long-standing blood donation campaign, which began in 2016. Since then, the company has organized biannual blood drives for its onboard crew and corporate employees, while also encouraging travelers to donate at public hospitals to the Celestyal Blood Bank. To date, Celestyal Cruises has donated 166 units of blood.

“At Celestyal, we take immense pride in supporting the communities we serve, both locally and globally,” said Chris Theophilides, CEO of Celestyal Cruises. “Our ongoing blood donation campaign not only provides essential medical aid but also makes a real difference in people’s lives.”

In addition to the blood drive, Celestyal Cruises participated in the 16th annual Greece Race for the Cure, an event that raises awareness and funds for women battling breast cancer. The winner of the race received a voucher for a 4-night cruise for two aboard the Celestyal Discovery on the “Iconic Aegean Summer” itinerary.

“We are thrilled to take part in this year’s Race for the Cure, a cause that is close to our hearts,” Theophilides said. “By uniting across multiple countries, we aim to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. It’s a privilege to be part of these meaningful initiatives, and we encourage everyone to join us in supporting these vital causes.”

Through these initiatives, Celestyal Cruises reaffirms its commitment to making a positive impact on global communities, contributing to life-saving causes and raising awareness for health issues that affect people worldwide.
