Quark Expeditions Appoints New Director of Sales, Americas

Quark Expeditions, a leader in polar adventures, has announced the appointment of David Marathakis as the new Director of Sales, Americas. David brings over 15 years of travel industry experience to Quark, having held several leadership roles across North America and Europe. His extensive background and expertise will play a pivotal role in strengthening Quark’s presence and service in the Americas.

Beth Mercier, Senior Director of Global Partnership Sales at Quark Expeditions, welcomed David to the team, stating, “David’s deep industry knowledge and leadership experience are vital to expanding our reach and delivering world-class polar expeditions. His appointment underscores our commitment to driving innovative solutions for our partners and guests.”

David began his travel career as a Trip Manager with Contiki Holidays in Europe and later advanced to Director of Sales at The Travel Corporation (TTC) in North America. Most recently, he served as Country Manager for Canada at RateHawk. Now, as part of Quark Expeditions, David is excited to contribute to delivering exceptional experiences to travelers seeking unique polar adventures.

Joining David is Randolph TenEyck, appointed as Area Sales Director for the eastern United States. Randolph brings a strong passion for adventure travel and has held senior sales roles in the travel industry, contributing to his deep understanding of delivering high-quality service to clients.

In line with these new appointments, Quark Expeditions has launched several initiatives to support Travel Advisors, including the Quote & Hold tool and the Travel Advisor Marketing Center.
