Mandarin Airlines, the regional subsidiary of China Airlines, has added another ATR 72-600 aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total number of this aircraft type in its fleet to 13. The airline announced the delivery on October 11, 2024, and revealed plans for another ATR 72-600 delivery in early 2026 to meet peak season demand.

This latest delivery follows the airline’s 2023 order for six ATR 72-600 aircraft at the Paris Air Show. Three of these aircraft have already been delivered, with the remaining three expected to arrive by the third and fourth quarters of 2025.

Mandarin Airlines Chairman Kao Shing-Hwang praised the aircraft for its fuel efficiency, low operating costs, and reliability, calling it an ideal choice to boost the airline’s existing routes and explore new opportunities in Taiwan’s tourism and local economy.

Mandarin Airlines operates primarily from Sungshan Airport (TSA) and plays a key role in Taiwan’s domestic flight network. The airline services eight major destinations, including Kinmen, Penghu, and Matsu.
