Azamara Cruises is set to make a highly anticipated return to Alaska in the summer of 2026, bringing back its intimate small-ship experiences and immersive itineraries. After a seven-year hiatus, Azamara will once again enable guests to explore Alaska’s breathtaking wilderness and rich cultural heritage through its signature Destination Immersion and Extended Destination Days.

Starting in May 2026, the Azamara Pursuit will embark on 10- to 13-day voyages featuring extended port stays of ten hours or more. These meticulously curated itineraries are designed to take travelers deep into the heart of Alaska’s stunning natural beauty, awe-inspiring wildlife, and vibrant local culture. Guests will have the opportunity to visit some of Alaska’s more remote destinations, engaging in wildlife excursions such as whale-watching, bear spotting, and glacier hiking while also experiencing indigenous communities and cultural encounters.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce Alaska as one of our key destinations for the summer of 2026,” stated Michael Pawlus, Head of Itinerary Planning at Azamara Cruises. “Our guests have consistently requested a return to this extraordinary region, and we are excited to meet that demand by offering enhanced itineraries and land experiences that truly capture the essence of Alaska. From cruising the Hubbard Glacier to providing extended time in smaller ports, our specially tailored cruises promise an unforgettable and immersive journey.”

Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises, echoed this sentiment: “We’ve listened to our guests and are now delivering on our promises. Our commitment to Destination Immersion ensures that we don’t just bring our guests to Alaska; we immerse them in its rich culture and access areas that larger ships cannot. With our extended stays and thoughtfully curated land experiences, we are eager to offer the Azamara experience in a destination that captivates travelers.”

Key Highlights of Azamara’s Return to Alaska:
