Jet Aviation Resumes GIV-SP Operations with New Aircraft Addition

Jet Aviation Flight Services (JAS), based at Teterboro Airport, has officially resumed its Gulfstream GIV-SP operations in October 2024, after a one-year break. The company added N741VE (msn 1404), a Gulfstream Aerospace jet, to its Part 135-certified fleet. This marks an important milestone as Jet Aviation continues to expand and enhance its charter fleet offerings.
The 23.3-year-old GIV-SP was previously part of Wing Aviation’s fleet, listed under their certificate until August 2024. The aircraft completed its last flight under the ‘CWG’ code on March 17, 2024, traveling between Dallas Love Field and Alton. Before joining Wing Aviation, the jet was registered in the United States but was re-registered in Mexico, where it operated from 2009 to 2019. Wing Aviation currently maintains one of these aircraft in service.
This latest addition brings the total number of aircraft in Jet Aviation Flight Services’ charter fleet to 54. The company had previously operated three GIV-SPs, with two in service concurrently between 2021 and 2022. Now, with N741VE back in operation, Jet Aviation is reinforcing its position as a leading provider of luxury private jet services. The fleet also includes five Gulfstream G450 jets, as well as a wide selection of business jets from other top manufacturers like Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, and Textron Aviation.
In addition to its business jets, Jet Aviation Flight Services has made recent changes to its helicopter fleet. The company retired its sole Leonardo Helicopters AW139 and now operates two Sikorsky helicopters under its Part 135 certificate. This shift reflects the company’s commitment to diversifying its fleet and providing a wide range of aviation services to meet the varying needs of its clients.
Jet Aviation Flight Services is part of Jet Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics. The global aviation company manages approximately 300 aircraft worldwide, offering a comprehensive suite of services. These include aircraft charter, management, sales, completions, maintenance, staffing, and fixed-base operations (FBO). By expanding its fleet and service offerings, Jet Aviation continues to cater to the growing demand for luxury, efficiency, and flexibility in private aviation.
With the return of the GIV-SP to service, Jet Aviation is well-equipped to meet the needs of its clients, providing exceptional service with a modern and diverse fleet of business jets and helicopters. The company remains a leader in the industry, focused on delivering high-quality aviation solutions globally.
