Prima Air Adds First Global 5000 with Starlink Wi-Fi

Prima Air, based in Burbank, has added its first Bombardier Global 5000 to its charter fleet, operating under the Part 135 certificate of Pegasus Elite Aviation, a subsidiary acquired in January 2023. Although owned by Prima Air since April 2022, the aircraft has only recently been made available for on-demand services.
The 18-year-old jet, registered as N889PG (msn 9226), seats up to 13 passengers. Originally registered in the United Arab Emirates, the aircraft later operated in the United States and Australia before its acquisition by Prima Air.
This Global 5000 is notable as the first in the world equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi, offering high-speed internet for passengers. The installation, carried out in collaboration with Starlink and Thornton Aviation, underwent a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) certification process and FAA Part 135 conformity inspection to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Prima Air’s charter fleet now includes 12 aircraft: one G550, one G650, one G650ER, one GIV, three GIV-SPs, three GVs, one Global 5000, and one Learjet 60SE. Operating under the Pegasus Elite Aviation brand, the company specializes in private jet charters, aircraft management, acquisitions and sales, and maintenance.
This addition reinforces Prima Air’s commitment to providing advanced connectivity and luxury charter services, further enhancing its market position in the private aviation sector.
