Royal Brunei Airlines Wins World’s Leading Cabin Crew Award
Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has once again been named the World’s Leading Cabin Crew at the 2024 World Travel Awards, marking the fifth consecutive year the Brunei flag carrier has claimed this prestigious title. The award was presented at the Grand Final Gala ceremony at the Savoy Palace in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, on November 24, 2024.
In a statement, Royal Brunei Airlines CEO Captain Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid expressed pride in the achievement, saying, “Our cabin crew are the heart of Royal Brunei Airlines, and this award reflects their exceptional talent, professionalism, and passion.” He continued, “Winning the World’s Leading Cabin Crew for the fifth consecutive year is a proud moment for RB and Brunei Darussalam. It is a testament to our commitment to excellence and the sincerity that defines our service.”
Audrey Keasberry, Royal Brunei’s Manager of Cabin Crew, accepted the award on behalf of the airline. She noted, “This honour belongs to every member of our cabin crew team who works tirelessly to deliver a service that is both world-class and uniquely Bruneian.” Keasberry also emphasized the significance of winning the award just days after celebrating RB’s 50th anniversary, adding, “Winning this award for the fifth consecutive year is a testament to the sincerity, dedication, and excellence Royal Brunei Airlines stands for.”
Founded in 1974, Royal Brunei Airlines marked its 50th anniversary on November 18, 2024. The airline’s ongoing commitment to growth and innovation includes fleet upgrades, with the purchase of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft. RB also expanded its network in 2024 by adding new destinations, including Chennai International Airport (MAA) in India and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport (BPN) in Balikpapan, Indonesia.
Royal Brunei Airlines continues to enhance its global presence, having hosted significant events in 2024, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Brunei Sustainable Aviation Fuel Capacity Building Session and the 68th Assembly of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines. These efforts highlight RB’s dedication to sustainability and its role in shaping the future of the aviation industry.
