Marriott Acquires Postcard Cabins for Nature-Based Lodging Expansion
Marriott International, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Postcard Cabins, a nature-based lodging company featuring over 1,200 cozy cabins across 29 U.S. destinations. Formerly known as Getaway, Postcard Cabins specializes in offering secluded accommodations designed to help travelers disconnect from daily life and reconnect with nature.
Located just two hours from major U.S. cities, Postcard Cabins provides a unique retreat experience. Guests enjoy modern conveniences within small, elevated cabins featuring forest views, creating a perfect balance for those seeking a nature escape without sacrificing comfort.
Postcard Cabins will join Marriott’s growing outdoor and nature-focused portfolio, further diversifying its lodging offerings. Starting in 2025, Postcard Cabins’ properties will be integrated into the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, offering members access to these unique accommodations as part of their travel rewards.
Jon Staff, Founder and CEO of Postcard Cabins, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “In joining Marriott, we’re excited to bring the Postcard Cabins experience to a global audience seeking exactly what we offer—a place to slow down, disconnect from the everyday, and invest in the relationships that matter most.”
This acquisition underscores Marriott’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the nature-based hospitality sector. It aligns with the growing demand for outdoor experiences that combine relaxation and modern amenities. With Marriott’s global reach, Postcard Cabins is poised to grow its audience and continue its mission to inspire meaningful connections in the great outdoors.
