Lindblad Expeditions Names Natalya Leahy CEO, Rick Goldberg CFO

Lindblad Expeditions, a global leader in expedition cruises and travel experiences, has announced significant leadership changes as it prepares for its 46th year. Natalya Leahy has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2025, while Rick Goldberg will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective December 31, 2024. These appointments mark a strategic move to drive the company’s growth in the experiential travel sector both at sea and on land.

Natalya Leahy brings a wealth of experience to her new role. A native of Uzbekistan, Leahy most recently served as President of Seabourn, where she was responsible for all aspects of the luxury cruise line’s business and operations, leading a global team of more than 4,000 shoreside and seagoing employees. Prior to her tenure at Seabourn, Leahy held various leadership positions at Holland America Group, including Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Her extensive background in the cruise and travel industry is complemented by her experience in leadership roles at major global organizations such as The Procter & Gamble Company, the United Nations, and The Coca-Cola Company. Leahy’s diverse experience and proven leadership skills are expected to drive Lindblad Expeditions forward, enhancing its offerings and expanding its reach in the competitive expedition cruise market.

Rick Goldberg, who will assume the role of CFO on December 31, 2024, currently serves as CFO of Founders Table Restaurant Group. In this position, he has led all aspects of the high-growth, fast-casual restaurant company’s finance, real estate and development, franchising, and customer insights since 2021. Prior to joining Founders Table, Goldberg held various leadership positions, including CFO at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc., one of the largest providers of assisted tax preparation services in the United States. His strong financial acumen and experience in managing large-scale financial operations will be invaluable to Lindblad Expeditions as it continues to expand and innovate in the expedition travel space.
