Norwegian Bliss and Breakaway to Debut New Upgrades
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to introduce exciting upgrades aboard Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Breakaway, offering travelers enhanced amenities, dining experiences, and outdoor recreation spaces. These updates aim to elevate guest experiences and cater to a diverse range of travelers.
Ship Renovations and Schedules
Norwegian Bliss will undergo renovations from January 17 to February 2, 2025, just ahead of its Caribbean season. Norwegian Breakaway’s enhancements are scheduled for February 19 to March 14, 2025, before the ship embarks on European itineraries.
New Features and Spaces
Both ships will debut Horizon Park, a top-deck outdoor space featuring lawn-style games such as cornhole and giant Jenga, along with reclining loungers for sunbathing. The addition of this venue creates more opportunities for guests to gather and make memories in a relaxed, open-air environment.
Enhanced Dining Options
Norwegian Bliss will see significant changes to its dining venues.
- Cagney’s Steakhouse will expand, replacing Los Lobos.
- Teppanyaki, a popular Japanese restaurant, will replace Coco’s.
- Palomar, an elevated seafood specialty dining concept from Norwegian Prima, will replace Ocean Blue.
Similarly, Norwegian Breakaway will feature dining upgrades:
- Silver Screen Bistro, a cinema and dining venue, will replace the Spiegel Tent. Guests can enjoy oversized recliners, retractable tables, and handheld menu items while watching movies.
- Cagney’s Steakhouse will replace Moderno Churrascaria.
- Palomar will also replace Ocean Blue.
Upgraded Accommodations
Both ships will enhance their accommodations, particularly in The Haven by Norwegian, NCL’s exclusive ship-within-a-ship concept. Norwegian Bliss will feature upgraded premiere owner’s suites with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a dining room, and fully refurbished living areas. Additionally, 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms will be added.
Norwegian Breakaway will also expand its Vibe Beach Club and The Haven Sundeck, providing more space for adults-only relaxation.
A Focus on Guest-Centric Experiences
David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences. “Our goal is to provide guests with their very own best vacation. From creating outdoor gathering spaces to expanding dining options, we’re offering more to do and more to enjoy for all types of travelers,” he said.
New Recreation and Entertainment Concepts
