Schubach Aviation Restructures Fleet, Reopens G200 Charters

Schubach Aviation has undertaken a significant fleet restructuring in November 2024, marking a pivotal shift in its Part 135-certified operations. According to ch-aviation research, the company has resumed charter services with the Gulfstream G200 while retiring its Citation Jet 4 Gen2 and Hawker 400XP models. This strategic move aims to streamline operations and enhance service efficiency amid evolving market demands.

The resumption of charter operations with the G200 comes after a four-year hiatus, signaling Schubach Aviation’s commitment to reestablishing its presence in the private jet market. The aircraft, registered as N520LF (msn 205), is a 16.5-year-old Gulfstream G200 that has a diverse operational history. Initially registered in the Isle of Man, the G200 was imported to the United States in 2014, where it served privately for a year before being exported to China and subsequently reimported in 2016. This versatile aircraft is now poised to enhance Schubach Aviation’s charter offerings, providing reliable and efficient service to clients.

In contrast, the Citation Jet 4 Gen2, registered as N928GR (msn 525C-0385), has been retired from Schubach Aviation’s fleet. This 2.6-year-old aircraft, which was configured to carry up to eight passengers, was part of the fleet since November 2023. Its removal from the Part 135 certification indicates a strategic decision to focus on more versatile and higher-demand aircraft, ensuring optimal fleet performance and customer satisfaction.

Simultaneously, Schubach Aviation has retired its sole Hawker 400XP, registered as N731CM (msn RK-419). This aircraft was last active on August 27, 2024, operating flights between San Diego McClellan Palomar and Houston David Wayne Hooks. The registration was canceled on September 18, and the jet has not been re-registered or exported since, reflecting the company’s move to streamline its fleet for better operational efficiency.

Following these adjustments, Schubach Aviation now operates a streamlined Part 135-certified fleet of 12 aircraft. The current fleet includes a Gulfstream G450, Citation Jet 3, Citation Latitude, Citation M2, Citation XLS Gen2, Beechjet 400A, Hawker 850XP, Challenger 350, Challenger 601-3R, and Challenger 605. This diverse and modern fleet allows Schubach Aviation to cater to a wide range of client needs, from luxurious long-haul flights to efficient short-haul charters.

The decision to restructure the fleet aligns with Schubach Aviation’s strategic goals of enhancing service quality and operational efficiency. By focusing on newer and more versatile aircraft, the company aims to provide superior charter services that meet the high standards expected by its clientele. The retirement of older models like the Citation Jet 4 Gen2 and Hawker 400XP allows Schubach Aviation to allocate resources more effectively, ensuring that its fleet remains modern, reliable, and capable of delivering exceptional performance.

Schubach Aviation’s partnership with UltraAir, acquired in 2022, has been instrumental in this fleet transformation. Operating under UltraAir’s Part 135 certificate, Schubach Aviation benefits from enhanced management and operational support, enabling the company to maintain a competitive edge in the private aviation sector. This collaboration ensures that Schubach Aviation can offer a robust and efficient fleet, meeting the dynamic demands of the charter market.

As Schubach Aviation continues to evolve, the company remains dedicated to providing top-tier charter services with its optimized fleet. The integration of the Gulfstream G200 and the retirement of less versatile aircraft positions Schubach Aviation for sustained growth and success in the competitive aviation industry. Clients can expect enhanced reliability, superior service quality, and a fleet tailored to meet their specific travel needs, solidifying Schubach Aviation’s reputation as a leading provider of private jet charters.
