Laurel Highlands Jet Center Retires Citation XLS, Expands Fleet Diversity

Laurel Highlands Jet Center, based at Latrobe Airport, has officially retired its sole Citation XLS from its Part 135-certified fleet, according to recent ch-aviation research. The 14.9-year-old jet, registered as N21LH (msn 560-5822), had been part of the company’s operations since late 2021. Before its tenure with Laurel Highlands, the aircraft spent 11 years registered in Brazil before being imported to the United States. As of now, it is no longer listed as a Part 135-certified aircraft.

This retirement marks the second aircraft to exit Laurel Highlands Jet Center’s fleet in 2024. Earlier in June, the company retired a Hawker 800XPi, further streamlining its fleet operations. With these changes, Laurel Highlands Jet Center’s Part 135-certified fleet now includes a single executive jet, a Citation Jet 3, and a recently added Epic E1000 turboprop.

The Epic E1000, introduced in November, reflects Laurel Highlands Jet Center’s commitment to maintaining versatile and efficient charter options. The addition of the high-performance turboprop complements the Citation Jet 3, offering a balance of luxury and operational flexibility for diverse client needs.

Previously operating under the name Vee Neal Aviation, Laurel Highlands Jet Center provides a range of services, including aircraft management, private charters, maintenance, and aircraft sales. The company also operates fixed-base operations (FBO) at Latrobe, catering to both domestic and international aviation clients.

As the aviation industry evolves, Laurel Highlands Jet Center continues to adapt its fleet and service offerings to align with market demands, ensuring it remains a trusted name in private aviation. The company’s focus on high-performance aircraft and dedicated customer service positions it well for future growth in the competitive charter market.
