All Nippon ANA Takes Full Ownership of Peach Aviation
ANA Holdings has acquired the remaining 7% stake in Peach Aviation from Hong Kong-based First Eastern Aviation Holdings, becoming the sole owner of the Japanese low-cost carrier.
The move aligns with ANA’s strategy to boost inbound tourism and strengthen its business portfolio. “As we anticipate a further increase in inbound tourists, making Peach a wholly owned subsidiary will build on its growth, enhance the ANA Group’s portfolio, and increase profits. Our goal is to attract 60 million visitors and support regional revitalization,” ANA stated.
Peach Aviation was established in 2011 as a joint venture between ANA Holdings, First Eastern Aviation Holdings, and Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), each holding equal stakes. ANA took a majority stake in 2017, buying out INCJ in the process. This latest acquisition finalizes ANA’s complete ownership, consolidating Peach into its group operations. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Peach Aviation currently operates a fleet of 36 aircraft, comprising 16 A320-200s, 17 A320-200Ns, and 3 A321-200NX(LR)s. The carrier focuses on low-cost domestic and international routes, contributing significantly to ANA Group’s presence in the budget travel segment.
This acquisition reinforces ANA’s commitment to capitalizing on Japan’s growing tourism demand, particularly as the country aims to attract millions of visitors annually. With Peach Aviation now fully under its control, ANA plans to integrate and expand its operations to further enhance regional connectivity and profitability.
