Classic Jet Retires Lithuania’s Last Hawker 850XP

Classic Jet, based in Vilnius, has retired its sole Hawker 850XP aircraft, marking the end of this model’s operation in Lithuania. The aircraft, registered as LY-BGD (msn 258813), flew its final routes between November 24 and 25, 2024, traveling from Vilnius to Reykjavik Keflavik, Bangor International, and ultimately Fort Lauderdale International, where it is now parked. On December 16, it was re-registered in the United States as N900KG.

The Hawker 850XP, configured for up to eight passengers, had been part of Classic Jet’s fleet since 2022. Its retirement leaves the operator with just one aircraft, a 15-year-old Hawker 750.

Classic Jet’s move marks the end of the 850XP model in Lithuania. The country’s only other operator of Hawker jets, Charter JETS, continues to fly a Hawker 800XP and a Hawker 800XPi, alongside a Falcon 2000S.

The retirement reflects a broader trend of fleet optimization within smaller charter operators as they adapt to shifting market demands and operational efficiencies. Classic Jet’s future fleet plans remain undisclosed.
