Chrono Aviation, based in NDL, Québec, has added its first Citation X, C-FJIC (msn 750-0020), to its fleet in November 2024, marking its return to the business jet market after a four-year hiatus. The aircraft, available for charter, remains registered under the CAR 604 certificate for private operations.

The 27.9-year-old Citation X, which can seat up to eight passengers, was previously operated by ACASS Canada from 2023. It replaces another Citation X, C-FJWX (msn 750-0205), which was retired after 22 years of service.

Chrono Aviation’s fleet now includes the Citation X, along with nine other aircraft, such as seven PC-12s and two Beech 1900Ds. These aircraft operate under CAR 703 (on-demand air taxi charters) and CAR 704 (on-demand commuter) certificates. Chrono Aviation previously operated a Citation Jet 4 and Falcon 50EX, both of which were retired in 2020.

As part of the Chrono Group, which includes Chrono Jet, Chrono Aviation continues to navigate through financial challenges. The group is currently under bankruptcy protection, with Starlink Aviation approved by the Superior Court of Quebec to acquire its assets, including both carriers.

This expansion into the business jet market signals Chrono Aviation’s strategic steps to diversify its fleet amid operational changes and shifting market conditions.
