SD Aviation, based in La Roche-sur-Yon, has officially secured Air Operator Certificate (AOC) FR.AOC.0156 from the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). The certification marks the culmination of an 18-month process, paving the way for the company to commence commercial operations in January 2025.

The operator plans to launch its services with a 9.9-year-old Embraer Phenom 300 and a 3.1-year-old Phenom 300E, both configured to accommodate eight passengers. These aircraft will form the core of SD Aviation’s initial fleet for charter operations.

In addition to the Phenom 300 series, SD Aviation’s diverse fleet includes two Citation Mustang jets, a newly added Citation M2 Gen2 with two more on order, two Phenom 100 aircraft, and a Pilatus PC-12. The variety of aircraft allows the company to cater to a wide range of private aviation needs, from short-haul regional flights to longer, more luxurious journeys.

The AOC approval underscores SD Aviation’s commitment to meeting stringent regulatory standards and expanding its presence in the competitive private aviation market. The company is set to enhance its offerings with the latest-generation aircraft, ensuring superior comfort, performance, and operational efficiency for its clients.

With its expanded capabilities, SD Aviation is poised to become a key player in France’s business aviation sector, offering tailored solutions for discerning travelers.
