Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford) has officially retired its Boeing 757-200 fleet, with the last three aircraft placed in long-term storage. The move signifies the end of active passenger operations for the Boeing 757 in the United Kingdom.

The three 757 jets were ferried to St. Athan between January 2 and 8, 2025, according to ADS-B data. The aircraft type has been removed from Jet2’s schedules, as confirmed by the ch-aviation schedules module.

Jet2, which owned all three aircraft, decided to phase out the aging Boeing 757-200s as part of its fleet modernization strategy, transitioning to newer Airbus narrowbody jets. The retired aircraft had an average age of 34 years.

This retirement leaves only four Boeing 757-200(SF)s, operated by DHL Air (D0, Nottingham East Midlands), active in the UK.

Jet2’s current fleet consists of 117 aircraft, including three A321-200s, thirteen A321-200NX, seven Boeing 737-300s, ninety-three Boeing 737-800s, and one A330-200 wet-leased from AirTanker. The airline is also awaiting delivery of 134 A321-200NX jets from a significant order placed by its parent company, Jet2 plc.

Jet2 was not immediately available for comment on the milestone, which marks a significant shift in the UK aviation landscape.
