Disney Cruise Line has unveiled exciting details about its ambitious fleet expansion, featuring four new ships set to join its lineup between 2027 and 2031. The expansion includes three vessels in a brand-new ship class and one addition to the existing Wish class.

The new class ships, to be built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, will each accommodate 3,000 guests and measure approximately 100,000 gross tons. These vessels will be 20% larger than the Disney Magic class but smaller than the Dream and Wish classes, allowing access to a wider range of global ports and destinations. Deliveries are planned for 2029, 2030, and 2031.

Sustainability is a cornerstone of the new class design. These ships will feature advanced hull designs, cutting-edge power and propulsion systems, and energy-efficient operations. Battery systems will support main engines, while shore power technology will be utilized during port visits. The vessels will also be capable of running on multiple fuel types, including hydrotreated vegetable oil and renewable methanol, ensuring adaptability to future fuel innovations.

The fourth ship, a sister vessel to the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, is scheduled for delivery in 2027. This addition to the Wish class will measure approximately 144,000 gross tons, accommodate 4,000 guests, and operate on liquefied natural gas, further emphasizing Disney’s commitment to environmentally friendly cruising.

All four ships will be designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, promising Disney’s signature blend of entertainment, dining, and exceptional service. While specific names, onboard features, and itineraries remain under development, the expansion aligns with The Walt Disney Company’s 2030 environmental goals and aims to bring magical experiences to more families worldwide.

With these new ships, Disney Cruise Line is set to redefine luxury and sustainability in family cruising while expanding its global reach to new destinations.
