Delta Unveils AI-Powered Concierge for Seamless Travel

Delta Air Lines has introduced Delta Concierge, a generative AI-powered assistant designed to enhance the travel experience through the Fly Delta app. The announcement, made by CEO Ed Bastian at CES in Las Vegas, showcases Delta’s vision of blending digital convenience with physical interactions for personalized, streamlined journeys.
The Delta Concierge will roll out in phases, starting this year, to anticipate travelers’ needs, offer real-time guidance, and take actions like connecting with partners such as Uber and Joby for multimodal transportation. By 2025, the assistant will send alerts on passport expiration, visa requirements, and provide destination-specific notifications like weather updates.
At airports, Delta Concierge will help passengers with bag drop, gate locations, Delta Sky Club access, and TSA PreCheck Touchless ID lines. The assistant will integrate across Delta’s digital channels and be accessible to reservation agents for more efficient customer support.
In addition, Delta plans to launch Delta Locals, a travel planning platform, and integrate SkyMiles with Uber accounts. Future enhancements include personalized entertainment access via Delta Sync Wi-Fi and seatback screens.
Bastian emphasized Delta’s commitment to a connected, intuitive travel experience, leveraging AI to make journeys smoother and more enjoyable for passengers worldwide.
