Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel Unveils Six New Evolution Suites

Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel, the only beachfront accommodation on Santa Cruz Island in the renowned Galápagos archipelago, is set to welcome travelers with an elevated level of luxury. In a recent renovation, the hotel has unveiled six brand-new “Evolution Suites” designed for guests seeking an indulgent getaway on the island.
As one of the few overnight lodging options in the Galápagos Islands and a favored base camp for both independent vacations and expedition cruises, Finch Bay continues to charm visitors with its unique blend of comfort and local authenticity. The Evolution Suites, which will be available for booking starting next month, are thoughtfully located within Finch Bay’s garden area—just a short stroll from the main hotel building.
The six suites have been carefully reimagined from existing rooms, maintaining the property’s total of 33 accommodations as required by local regulations. Three of the new suites are on the ground floor, providing serene views of the hotel’s native garden greenery, while the other three, positioned on the first floor, offer sweeping vistas of the ocean and beach.
Decorated in soothing earth tones and featuring contemporary furnishings with teak trim, the suites range from 177 to 185 square feet. Guests can choose between a spacious king bed or two cozy double beds, ensuring a restful retreat after a day of island adventures. Each suite also boasts its own private balcony, ranging from 52 to 76 square feet, inviting guests to relax outdoors and savor the natural beauty of Santa Cruz Island—a destination famed for its giant tortoises and vibrant local culture.
In keeping with Finch Bay’s commitment to sustainability, 40 percent of the suites’ power is derived from solar panels, reinforcing the hotel’s eco-friendly ethos. The Evolution Suites are more than just a place to rest; they are part of a holistic guest experience that includes access to the hotel’s signature restaurant. Here, guests can enjoy meals crafted from 40 percent locally sourced produce and ingredients grown on site. The hotel also offers a range of amenities such as an on-property spa with massage rooms, hot tubs, a gym, and a yoga shala.
Beyond luxurious accommodations, Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel offers a gateway to adventure. The property can assist guests with organizing tours and activities, including excursions aboard its private yacht. With capacity for up to 20 guests, the yacht offers explorations of the Galapagos National Park led by expert English-speaking guides, making it an ideal complement to a stay on the island.
Owned by Metropolitan Touring, Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel continues to evolve while staying true to its roots as an essential stop for travelers exploring the extraordinary natural wonders of the Galápagos Islands. Whether guests are embarking on an independent journey or adding a hotel stay to an expedition cruise, the new Evolution Suites promise a blend of luxury, sustainability, and authentic island charm.
