NovaJet Adds First Citation Sovereign+ to Its Fleet
NovaJet (NOJ, Toronto Pearson) has expanded its fleet with the addition of its first Citation Sovereign+, according to ch-aviation research. The new aircraft, registered as C-GLMI (msn 680-0533), is a 10.3-year-old jet configured to seat up to eight passengers. It entered service under NovaJet’s ‘NOJ’ code on February 7, 2025, completing its inaugural roundtrip between Kitchener—where it is based—and Pontiac Oakland County International.
The Citation Sovereign+ is currently certified exclusively under CAR 604 regulations, meaning it is approved for private operations only. This marks a significant milestone for NovaJet as the aircraft was previously the sole Citation Sovereign+ operated by Skyservice Business Aviation, which has since phased out the type. While Skyservice has retired its Citation Sovereign+ fleet, it continues to operate three other Citation-family jets—a Citation Jet 1+, a Citation Excel, and a Citation XLS—along with 56 aircraft from other manufacturers.
With the addition of the Citation Sovereign+, NovaJet now boasts a diverse fleet designed to meet a wide range of operational needs. Its current roster includes models such as the Citation M2, Citation Jet 1+, Learjet 40XR, Challenger 350, and three Challenger 605s, following the recent phase-out of the Challenger 650 variant. The fleet further comprises a Challenger 800 (CRJ200), Global Express XRS, and a recently inducted Global 6500. Other aircraft include the Falcon series—specifically the Falcon 900B, Falcon 900DX, Falcon 900EX EASy, Falcon 900LX, and Falcon 2000—along with the Phenom 300, Astra 1125, Astra SPX, G150, G200, G650ER, Hawker 750, and King Air B200GT.
This latest fleet expansion reinforces NovaJet’s commitment to offering a modern, versatile range of aircraft that cater to private operations and corporate travel needs. As demand for efficient and reliable private aviation services continues to grow, NovaJet’s strategic addition of the Citation Sovereign+ is set to enhance its competitive edge and operational flexibility.
