Emirates is set to elevate the air travel experience with its newly retrofitted Airbus A380 aircraft featuring the airline’s latest cabin designs. The Gulf carrier announced that the enhanced A380 will soon begin operations from Dubai International Airport to two major European destinations: Manchester and Milan. The service to Manchester is scheduled to start on June 6, 2025, while the Milan Malpensa service is set to commence on July 1, 2025.

With the introduction of the upgraded A380 to Manchester, Emirates plans to boost its Premium Economy capacity to nearly 5,000 seats per week for flights to and from the United Kingdom. This move is part of a broader strategy to offer enhanced comfort and flexibility for its growing customer base in the UK market. The new service will complement Emirates’ existing network, which includes four daily retrofitted A380 flights on the Dubai-London Heathrow route, an A350 service to Edinburgh, and an upcoming refurbished Boeing 777 that will begin operations to London Stansted in May 2025.

In Milan, the airline’s newest A380 will mark the second Italian destination to benefit from Emirates’ latest cabin innovations and increased Premium Economy offerings. The Italian service follows the planned introduction of the A350 to Bologna later in June 2025. With these additions, Emirates now boasts a total of 19 global destinations served by its retrofitted A380 fleet, further expanding its network and offering enhanced connectivity between the Middle East and key markets in Europe, Asia, and Australasia.

Passengers traveling from Manchester and Milan will soon be able to experience the full benefits of Emirates’ modern cabin designs on long-haul journeys to destinations such as Sydney, Singapore, Osaka, Mumbai, and Bangalore. The retrofitted A380 features a four-class configuration that includes First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, ensuring that travelers have a variety of options tailored to their preferences and budgets.

Located at the front of the main deck, the Premium Economy cabin on the Emirates A380 comprises 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. Each seat is designed to offer generous pitch and width for both work and relaxation, and includes customized features such as in-seat charging ports and a convenient side cocktail table. These thoughtful enhancements are intended to provide passengers with a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience, whether they are on a short-haul trip or a long-haul journey across continents.

In addition to the cabin upgrades, Emirates is placing a strong emphasis on delivering a superior in-flight experience through carefully selected amenities, a curated menu, and an extensive range of beverage options. Premium Economy passengers, for instance, will have access to the exclusive Chandon Vintage Brut 2016, a global first offered only on Emirates flights, which underscores the airline’s commitment to luxury and quality service. With these innovations, Emirates aims to redefine long-haul travel by blending cutting-edge aircraft design with the impeccable service the carrier is known for, ensuring that every journey is both comfortable and memorable.
