Emotions by Hodelpa Backs Girls’ Home in Juan Dolio
Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio has strengthened its community ties by signing a sponsorship agreement with the Hogar Escuela Caridad Misionera, a girls’ home in San Pedro de Macorís. The home shelters 19 young girls under the care of devoted nuns who provide food, shelter, education, emotional support and spiritual guidance.
This partnership builds on Emotions by Hodelpa’s Ecogreen by Hodelpa sustainability and corporate social responsibility program, which focuses on uplifting local communities where its hotels operate. With the new agreement, Emotions by Hodelpa now supports two girls’ homes in the Juan Dolio region: Pasitos de Jesús Girls’ Home and Hogar Escuela Caridad Misionera.
Located in a scenic beachside resort town just east of Santo Domingo, Emotions by Hodelpa is known for offering guests a relaxing Caribbean escape while also investing in social impact. Through Ecogreen by Hodelpa, the hotel channels resources into educational initiatives, livelihood programs and infrastructure improvements that benefit residents and their families.
“This sponsorship reflects our commitment to being more than a destination—it’s about nurturing the communities that welcome our guests,” said a spokesperson for Emotions by Hodelpa. By partnering with Hogar Escuela Caridad Misionera, the hotel aims to enhance the quality of life for its young residents through financial support, volunteer engagement and ongoing collaboration with the home’s caretakers.
As part of its pledge, Emotions by Hodelpa will provide regular funding for educational materials, healthcare needs and facility upgrades. Staff and guests will also have opportunities to participate in mentorship programs and special events designed to foster empowerment and growth among the girls. This initiative highlights Emotions by Hodelpa’s belief that sustainable tourism extends beyond environmental stewardship to include meaningful social investments.
