Silversea Unveils Record Mediterranean Season

Silversea Cruises has launched its largest Mediterranean season to date, with five ships making 71 departures between April 2025 and November 2026. The deployment began on April 15 when Silver Ray sailed from Lisbon, marking the start of an extended stay in the region that will span both summer and winter months. For the first time in Silversea’s history, winter voyages will be available in the Mediterranean, as Silver Muse remains in the region through November 2026 alongside Silver Ray, Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit and Silver Whisper.

Over the course of this unprecedented season, Silversea’s fleet will visit 95 destinations, offering luxury travelers a range of immersive experiences across iconic ports and hidden gems. Guests can explore the ancient ruins of Athens, wander the narrow streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, savor the culinary delights of Sicily and discover secluded coves along the French Riviera. Each voyage has been carefully curated to showcase the Mediterranean’s rich tapestry of cultures, from the sun-drenched islands of Greece to the historic harbors of Spain and Italy.

Silversea’s decision to maintain a winter presence reflects growing demand from guests seeking off-season travel. Mild climates and fewer crowds make winter Mediterranean sailings an attractive option for travelers who value cultural immersion without the peak-season bustle. Winter itineraries will include opportunities to witness holiday traditions in Venice, sample seasonal delicacies in Provence and explore historical landmarks in Istanbul under a quieter sky.

“Our guests’ enduring interest in the Mediterranean’s charm has inspired our largest-ever Mediterranean deployment for summer 2025,” says Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea. He notes that the region’s legendary art, architecture and gastronomy provide endless discovery for seasoned travelers and first-time visitors alike. “With five ships across varying classes, Silversea’s range of voyage options in the Mediterranean is truly unique and perfectly responds to our guests’ preferred experiences,” Hernandez adds.

Passengers aboard Silversea’s intimate vessels will enjoy all-suite accommodations, personalized butler service and gourmet dining that highlights local flavors. Shore excursions led by expert guides offer behind-the-scenes access to historic estates, family-run wineries and artisan workshops. Enrichment programs onboard feature lectures by regional historians, cooking demonstrations by Michelin-starred chefs and performances that celebrate Mediterranean music and dance.

Flexible itinerary lengths cater to a variety of travel styles, from weeklong escapes to month-long explorations. Longer voyages link multiple Mediterranean subregions, such as Western Europe’s coastal capitals and Eastern Europe’s Black Sea ports, while shorter cruises focus on specific areas like the Adriatic or the Cyclades. Guests can choose one-way, round-trip or segment-based departures, enabling them to tailor their journey to personal interests and schedules.

Silversea’s expanded Mediterranean season underscores the cruise line’s commitment to delivering bespoke travel experiences. By extending its presence year-round and increasing the number of departures, the company aims to meet rising demand and provide guests with more opportunities to experience the region’s unparalleled beauty. With staterooms already booking quickly for both summer and winter 2025–2026 sailings, travelers eager to secure their place on Silversea’s record season are encouraged to reserve early through the cruise line’s website or trusted travel advisors.
