Qatar Airways Boosts Flights to Toronto and São Paulo

Qatar Airways has announced a significant expansion of its services to North and South America, adding more flights from its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport. Starting June 19, 2025, the carrier will operate five weekly services to Toronto Pearson International Airport, with plans to increase to daily departures during the winter schedule. Flights will depart Doha as QR767 at 08:10, arriving in Toronto at 15:00 local time, and return as QR768 at 21:00, touching down back in Doha at 16:40 the following day. In winter 2025, QR767 will depart Doha at 08:25 for a 14:40 arrival in Toronto, while QR768 will leave Toronto at 20:10, arriving Doha at 16:55.
Shortly afterward, on June 25, 2025, Qatar Airways will ramp up its frequencies to São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, growing from its current schedule to 17 weekly flights. The service will depart Doha three times a week as QR785 at 00:10, arriving in São Paulo at 09:00 local time, and return as QR786 at 10:30, landing back in Doha at 06:45. These new frequencies build on Qatar Airways’ commitment to provide seamless connections between the Gulf region and the Americas via its state-of-the-art hub.
Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, said the market response to the carrier’s Toronto launch less than six months ago has been “outstanding.” He added, “We are proud to increase flights to meet growing demand for our award-winning travel experience. At the same time, we are expanding in South America with additional flights to São Paulo, a key gateway and strategic hub for business and leisure travel. These expansions underscore our commitment to providing seamless global connectivity through Hamad International Airport—voted World’s Best Airport Shopping by Skytrax in 2025.”
Hamad International Airport serves as a critical connecting point for passengers travelling between the Americas, Europe and Asia. By boosting frequencies to Toronto and São Paulo, Qatar Airways enables convenient one-stop itineraries to over 170 destinations on its network, including North American cities beyond Toronto and São Paulo through partnership agreements with trusted global carriers. The added services also cater to growing cargo demand on these routes, supporting trade links between the Middle East and the Western Hemisphere.
The new schedules will provide significant benefits to travellers across Qatar’s global network. Passengers from Australia, the Middle East and South Asia can now book single-ticket journeys to Toronto and São Paulo with coordinated baggage transfers and aligned loyalty rewards, while North American customers gain greater access to the Middle East and onward destinations in Africa, South Asia and Australasia. Frequent flyers in both the Privilege Club and oneworld programmes will earn and redeem miles on the expanded routes, enhancing the value proposition of travelling with Qatar Airways.
Qatar Airways has consistently invested in modern, fuel-efficient aircraft to serve its long-haul network. The airline’s fleet of Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777 aircraft will operate these expanded services, offering world-class cabin products including the Qsuite business class, premium economy and economy cabins. With the additional frequencies, more travellers can experience Qatar Airways’ award-winning in-flight service and hospitality, characterized by gourmet cuisine, advanced inflight entertainment and cutting-edge connectivity.
The airline’s move to boost its presence in North and South America follows ongoing network growth across Europe and Asia. As Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its global footprint, the enhanced Toronto and São Paulo schedules will play a pivotal role in reinforcing Doha’s position as a premier aviation hub for long-haul travel.
