Hilton has reached a major milestone with the opening of its 1,000th hotel in the luxury and lifestyle category, capping off a record year of expansion driven by key acquisitions and strategic partnerships. In 2023, the global hotel group added nearly 100,000 rooms to its portfolio and is now preparing for even more aggressive growth, with plans to open three new luxury and lifestyle hotels per week throughout 2025.

Currently, Hilton has almost 500 luxury and lifestyle properties in its development pipeline. Among the most notable projects is the signing of NoMad Detroit in partnership with Ford Motor Company, which will bring a luxury lifestyle experience to the historic Michigan Central Station. The move reflects Hilton’s broader strategy to meet guest demand for elevated experiences in culturally significant locations.

President and CEO Chris Nassetta emphasized the brand’s commitment to serving travelers across all segments and destinations. He noted that Hilton’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio is a central part of its growth strategy and highlighted the significance of this 1,000th opening as a reflection of Hilton’s long-term vision to offer best-in-class accommodations in every corner of the globe.

In 2025 alone, Hilton expects to open more than 150 new hotels across its luxury and lifestyle brands. These include marquee launches such as Waldorf Astoria New York, Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, Conrad Athens The Ilisian, Conrad Hamburg, and the debut of LXR Hotels & Resorts in India. Additionally, the Curio Collection by Hilton is set to make its entry into Thailand, further cementing its global reach and pushing the brand toward its 200th property milestone.

Recent notable openings in Hilton’s growing portfolio include Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique, Waldorf Astoria Osaka, Sax Paris under LXR Hotels & Resorts, Signia by Hilton Amman, Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof, Tempo by Hilton Raleigh, and The Radical Asheville from the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Looking ahead, Hilton plans to add over 100 more luxury and lifestyle properties to its pipeline. This includes new additions from recent brand expansions, such as NoMad and Graduate by Hilton, along with the newly launched partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). Upcoming SLH properties joining the Hilton ecosystem include Nobu Hotel Warsaw, Dylan Hotel in Dublin, VISTA Lago di Como, and Namia River Retreat in Vietnam.

Other key developments include new Waldorf Astoria hotels in Turks and Caicos and Texas Hill Country, an LXR Hotels & Resorts location in Hiroshima, and the first Signia by Hilton hotels in both Asia and Africa. Hilton is also expanding Tempo by Hilton into Canada and across EMEA, while Canopy by Hilton will make its debut in Tokyo and Italy.

With this momentum, Hilton is firmly positioning itself as a dominant force in the luxury and lifestyle space, delivering a wide range of elevated experiences to travelers around the world.
