Top Hotel Rewards Programs Ranked for Best Value in 2025

Hotel loyalty programs are offering more value in 2025, but finding the right one depends on your travel habits. WalletHub analyzed nine of the most popular hotel rewards programs using over 20 metrics, including point values, blackout dates, earning policies, and redemption flexibility.

Choice Privileges ranked as the top hotel rewards program for 2025, with an average score of 64 out of 100, making it ideal for travelers at all spending levels. The program offers up to $14.49 in value per $100 spent for heavy travelers earning between $100,000 and $200,000 annually and spending $1,865 on hotels. Light travelers earning between $40,000 and $69,999 per year can still receive $13.10 per $100 spent.

Following Choice Privileges in the rankings are World of Hyatt and Wyndham Rewards. Marriott Bonvoy and Sonesta Travel Pass round out the top five. Choice Privileges leads in rewards value and status level offerings, while Marriott Bonvoy excels in geographic coverage. Drury Rewards stands out for its favorable earning and redemption policies.

Interestingly, Best Western Rewards, despite ranking seventh, is the only major program where points never expire due to inactivity. Six out of the nine programs evaluated offer point redemption across all brands, with the exceptions being Marriott Bonvoy, Choice Privileges, and IHG One Rewards.

Travelers seeking the most value from their hotel stays in 2025 should compare programs based on spending habits, brand presence, and point flexibility to maximize rewards throughout the year.
