Vietjet Selects Honeywell for A330 APU Maintenance Support

Vietjet Air has signed an exclusive five-year maintenance contract with Honeywell for its fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft, covering the 331-350 Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). Announced at the Paris Air Show 2025 on June 18, the deal includes 30 widebody aircraft and marks a significant expansion of the two companies’ partnership.
Honeywell, a global leader in aerospace technologies, will provide full aftermarket support, ensuring reliability and operational continuity for one of Asia’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers. This agreement strengthens Honeywell’s footprint in the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces its role as a leading provider of high-performance APU solutions for long-haul fleets.
“Honeywell is proud to support Vietjet’s continued growth with reliable, high-performance APU solutions,” said Dave Marinick, President of Engines and Power Systems at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “Our agreement reflects a shared commitment to both operational excellence and long-term success.”
Vietjet is actively expanding its fleet and route network. The airline recently placed a record-breaking order for 100 Airbus A321neo jets, with an option for 50 more. It also holds purchase commitments for 20 A330neos and 200 Boeing 737 Max aircraft, signaling aggressive growth in both regional and long-haul operations.
“Honeywell’s advanced APU technology and global service expertise have consistently delivered performance and reliability,” said Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong. “This expanded partnership reaffirms our confidence in Honeywell as a trusted partner in scaling our widebody operations and delivering cost-efficient service across our network.”
The agreement highlights Vietjet’s strategy to invest in scalable, efficient maintenance solutions while boosting its widebody capabilities.
