Bridges Air Cargo Named Launch Customer for Embraer E190F

Embraer has announced Bridges Air Cargo as the launch customer for its new E190F freighter conversion program, making the announcement on June 18, 2025, at the Paris Air Show alongside aircraft lessor Regional One.
The E190F, part of Embraer’s passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion initiative, was created to address growing demand for efficient regional cargo aircraft. Tailored for the rise in e-commerce and decentralized logistics, the E-Freighter is designed to serve secondary and tertiary markets with faster delivery times and lower costs.
Bridges Air Cargo, a division of Bridges Worldwide, specializes in time-critical logistics and works closely with FedEx, DHL, and UPS. Celebrating 35 years in business, Bridges has moved over one billion kilograms for the express market. The new E190F will play a central role in expanding its capabilities and route network.
“The aircraft’s size fills a unique and under-served space in the cargo segment. It strengthens our operational capability and paves the way for the development of promising new routes,” said Guy Bridges, Managing Director of Bridges Air Cargo.
Embraer says the converted E-Jets will deliver over 40% more volume capacity than large turboprops, three times the range, and up to 30% lower operating costs than larger narrowbody freighters, offering a compelling solution for regional logistics.
The E190F is set to become a key player in the evolving air cargo market, replacing older, less efficient freighters while providing flexibility and performance tailored to modern logistics demands.
