Air Transat Launches Berlin Route, Adds Istanbul and Wins Award

Air Transat has launched direct service between Toronto and Berlin, marking the first non-stop connection between the two cities since 2023. The new seasonal route operates twice weekly until October 2025 using the airline’s modern Airbus A321LR aircraft.
Eastbound flight TS418 departs Toronto Pearson at 21:05 and lands in Berlin Brandenburg (BER) at 10:55 the next day. Return flight TS419 leaves Berlin at 13:45 and arrives in Toronto at 16:35. This 4,052-mile route reinforces Air Transat’s position as the only carrier offering nonstop service between Canada and Berlin.
This launch is complemented by a new interline partnership between Air Transat and Turkish Airlines. Starting December 6, 2025, Air Transat will offer year-round direct flights from Toronto to Istanbul, operating twice weekly. The partnership expands travel options between Canada and key destinations in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa via Istanbul, which Canadian citizens can now visit visa-free.
Additionally, Air Transat was just named “World’s Best Leisure Airline” for the seventh time at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, held at the Paris Air Show.
The airline’s growing A321LR fleet—known for comfort and efficiency—features 199 seats in a two-class layout. With seamless domestic connections via Porter Airlines, travelers from cities like Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal can easily access Berlin and Istanbul.
To celebrate these milestones, Air Transat is offering competitive fares on its new European routes and enhanced network access through key airline partnerships.
