Kolet Raises $10M to Expand Seamless eSIM Travel Tech

French travel eSIM startup Kolet has secured $10 million in Series A funding to scale its digital connectivity services for travelers. The funding round was led by French venture firm Daphni, with participation from notable industry figures including Peter Kern, former CEO of Expedia Group, and Jon Gieselman, Apple’s former vice president of marketing.
Launched in 2024, Kolet offers fully digital eSIMs through a B2B2C model that has already attracted major travel brands such as Air France, KLM, Kiwi.com, Exoticca, and Wego. The company’s offering is designed to eliminate expensive roaming charges and the need to search for Wi-Fi networks abroad. Users can download the Kolet app, select a data plan based on their budget, install the eSIM, and activate it either before departure or upon arrival in their destination country.
In addition to the equity investment, Kolet received €1 million in non-dilutive funding from Bpifrance. The company says the added backing strengthens its mission to provide travelers with simple and affordable mobile connectivity in over 190 countries. This latest round follows a €5 million seed raise in 2024.
With the new funding, Kolet plans to improve the onboarding experience for first-time users and enhance functionality on its mobile app. The company also intends to hire 10 new team members across tech, product, and business roles within the next year, expanding its footprint in France and internationally.
Anne-Carole Cöen, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Kolet, said the round validates the company’s vision to use technology to create a “reassuring and deeply human experience” for global travelers.
