MakeMyTrip has reported record gross bookings of $9.8 billion for fiscal year 2025, reflecting a 30% year-over-year growth. The India-based online travel agency attributed the strong performance to rising demand across air, hotel, and bus travel segments, as well as increased customer loyalty and repeat bookings.

For the fourth fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2025, gross bookings reached $2.6 billion. Air ticketing revenue for the quarter rose nearly 12% to $61.6 million, while full-year revenue from this segment increased 20% to $242 million. The company’s hotels and packages division also saw growth, with quarterly revenue up 17% year-over-year to $123 million and a full-year increase of 20%, reaching $520 million. Bus ticketing revenue recorded the most significant jump, growing 41% in Q4 to $34 million and 29% for the full year to $119 million.

Group CEO Rajesh Magow highlighted that the company’s focus on personalized travel experiences and diversified demand segments has helped expand the customer base and drive strong retention. “Our investments in new demand segments and personalized customer experiences across our platform have helped us to grow our customer base as well as drive high repeat bookings,” he said.

Adjusted operating profit rose to $45 million in the fourth quarter, up from $32 million a year earlier. For the full year, profit reached $167 million, a 35% increase from $124 million in FY24. Group CFO Mohit Kabra emphasized that improved operational efficiency and strategic reinvestments contributed to margin expansion.

Marketing and sales promotion costs rose 33% in the fourth quarter to $42 million and totaled $165 million for the year, a 34% increase, reflecting the company’s continued push to grow brand awareness and market share in a competitive online travel landscape.
